I received a box camera when I was six and visual expression became a passion starting then (though I hadn't a clue at the time). I've never been without a camera since. There is beauty everywhere, and it takes on many forms. The artist attempts to express beauty for various reasons: to reinforce it within himself; to demonstrate it to others; or simply to study it and find reasons for its existence. The methods for doing these things vary, thus I find it unnecessary to ply the viewer with technical details,. It isn't how or even why. It's what that matters. I am constantly taken by the beauty of what surrounds me: from cities to wilderness, and I take pictures because of this. Some of my work may be commercially worthwile. But all of it says, Hey! Look at this! I did, and I hope that you will!
